Bezoar

A bezoar is a species of mass or concretion, found in the gastrointestinal system, usually in the stomach, especially of ruminants, but also occurs among other animals, including humans. There are several varieties of bezoar, some of which have inorganic and other organic components. A purposely swallowed bezoar is called pseudobezoar. Um bezoar é uma espécie de massa ou concreção, encontrada no sistema gastrointestinal, usualmente no estômago, principalmente dos ruminantes, mas que ocorre também entre outros animais, incluindo os seres humanos. Existem diversas variedades de bezoar, algumas das quais têm componentes inorgânicos e outros orgânicos. Um bezoar engolido propositadamente designa-se pseudobezoar.
