Phyllosoma
Phylosome, sometimes phylosoma, is the designation given to the first larval stage of the crustaceans of the Achelata inford, being one of the main characteristics of this clade. They are transparent plantone beings, with a large "head", but the whole body flattened like a leaf of a plant, with great appendages. They can be of small size or macroscopic and take from six months to two years to go to the next phase, called Puerulus. References ↑ G. Scholtz and S.
