Malaga is a city of Andalusia, Spain. Capital of the homonymous province, it is located in the south coast of the country, in the Mediterranean. The city originated from a Greek colony in classical antiquity. It is the fifth largest city in the country, with more than 560 thousand inhabitants. It was founded by the Phoenicians in the 12th century BC It was incorporated into the crown of Castile in 1487.
