Mexicanos

a Mexican Mexican / b Mexican-Canadian and Mexican in Spain / d Mexican in the United Kingdom Mexicanos (in Spanish: Mexican Pueblo (collective), Mexicanos (individuals)) is a term that refers to all natural individuals in Mexico, a multiethnic country located in North America, or that identify with the cultural and national identity of that country. Mexico became a nation in 1821, when it gained independence from the Spanish Empire, initiating the process of forging Mexican national identity, which merged the cultural traits of its pre-Columbian origins with those brought by Europeans, mainly of Iberian origin . This miscegenation led to what was described as "a peculiar form of multiethnic nationalism". The language most spoken by Mexicans is Mexican Spanish, although many also speak the languages of the different indigenous language groups and others who were brought to the country by recent immigration.
