Nagasaki or Nagasaki is both the capital and the most populous city of the homonymous province, on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Nagasaki was founded by Portuguese navigators in the second half of the 16th century, where there was a small fishing village, which was part Nishisonogi District. The city became a center of influence Portuguese and other European peoples to the logo of the centuries XVI to XIX, so that, in 30 of January of 2007, the churches and other Christian sites of the city were inscribed in the list of candidates for World Patrimony of UNESCO. Nagasaki ou Nagasáqui é ao mesmo tempo capital e cidade mais populosa da província homônima, na ilha de Kyushu, no Japão. Nagasaki foi fundada por navegadores portugueses na segunda metade do século XVI, no local onde havia uma pequena vila de pescadores, que era parte Distrito de Nishisonogi. A cidade tornou-se um centro de influência português e de outros povos europeus ao logo dos séculos XVI a XIX, tanto que, em 30 de janeiro de 2007, as igrejas e outros sítios cristãos da cidade foram inscritos na lista de candidatos a Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO. Nagasaki foi sede de uma grande base da Marinha Imperial Japonesa durante a Primeira Guerra Sino-Japonesa e durante a guerra Russo-Japonesa.
