Pelota

Pelota is a small boat, like a boat, made of leather, that was used for the crossing of streams or navigation of small waterways. Goods and goods were transported here. It seldom contained any person within her and was guided by a rope that might have been drawn by her driver - who was still swimming outside it - or someone on the other shore. The pellet is of Moroccan origin and was taken to Brazil by the Spaniards, having spread among the natives. Present in the eighteenth century in the streams of the lands on which today the city called Pelotas.
