Hydrogeology
Hydrogeology is a science that studies the origin, conditions of occurrence, composition and regularities of groundwater movements. Also, the interaction of groundwater with rocks, surface waters and the atmosphere is studied. The scope of this science includes such issues as the dynamics of groundwater, hydrogeochemistry, the search for and exploration of groundwater, as well as reclamation and regional hydrogeology. Hydrogeology is closely connected with hydrology and geology, including engineering geology, meteorology, geochemistry, geophysics and other earth sciences. It relies on the data of mathematics, physics, chemistry and widely uses their research methods.
