Seismology
Seismology (from other Greek, σεισμός - (ground), shaking and λόγος - word, speech) - the science of the propagation of seismic waves in the bowels of the Earth. Only with the help of seismology it was possible to compile a picture of the deep structure of the globe (crust, mantle, outer and inner core). Also seismology deals with earthquakes, platform movements, monitoring of development of ore deposits, etc. Seismology is a science engaged in measuring and analyzing all movements recorded by seismographs on the surface of a solid Earth.
