Au

Gold

Altın

Gold is a chemical element in soft, bright yellow color, which is represented by the symbol Au (from Latin Aurum (glowing)). Its bright yellow color, its resistance to acids, its ability to be freely available in nature and its easy handling has attracted people's attention since ancient times. Gold is a very heavy metal with bright yellow color and glitter. Moreover, it is not affected by air and water because it is a very stable element that does not easily react. So it never rusts, darkens and does not get dark. Another feature is that it is very soft in its pure state; for this reason it can be easily beaten and formed. Gold has been regarded as the most precious metal throughout history with all these qualities.
