Ancient philosophical thought in ancient Greek philosophy. The philosophers of ancient philosopher who taught philosophy of monetary policy from the second half of the 5th century BC to the beginning of the 4th century BC in ancient Greece are called fluency. Sophist is used to mean the teaching of wisdom, the teaching of knowledge, the art of being useful in politics, the art of speaking and saying. The 5th century BC is the age of the dominance of the scholarly movement in ancient Greek philosophy. The countless assumptions that have been put forward since Thales, the earliest thinker, ultimately turned human intelligence into self-criticism by reasserting human intelligence and criticizing the whole thing. The human thought, devoid of the control of the natural sciences, turned to itself from the imagination of reality. The purpose of the investigation of the camaraderie movement was the man himself. According to Protagoras, "Man is the measure of everything". Knowledge was not a theoretical curiosity, but a practical benefit.

Bilgicilik veya sofizm, Antik çağ Yunan felsefesinde önemli bir felsefi düşünce akımı. Antik Yunan’da MÖ 5. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından MÖ 4. yüzyılın başlarına değin para karşılığı felsefe öğreten gezgin felsefecilerin oluşturdukları akıma bilgicilik denir. Sofist deyimi, bilgeliği yeğleyen öğreti, bilgi öğretmeni, siyasada yararlı olma sanatı, söz söyleme sanatı anlamlarında kullanılmıştır. MÖ 5. yüzyıl, antik çağ Yunan felsefesinde bilgicilik akımının egemen olduğu çağdır. İlk düşünür sayılan Thales'den beri ortaya atılan sayısız varsayımlar, sonunda insan zekasını şahlandırmış ve bütün olup bitenleri yeniden gözden geçirerek kıyasıya eleştirmeye yöneltmişti.Doğa bilimlerinin denetiminden yoksun insan düşüncesi, varlığın temeli konusunda daldığı hayal aleminden kendisine dönüyordu. Bilgicilik akımının inceleme amacı, insanın kendisiydi. Protagoras'a göre, “İnsan her şeyin ölçüsü”ydü. Bilgi, teorik bir merak değil, pratik bir yarar olmalıydı.
