Filo

The fleet is the name of the union that is commissioned to do the same service and that takes place from a ship or a plane under a command. Fleets called trade fleets and fishing boats are also called fleets. In the Air Forces, the name of the aircraft is given according to the type of the aircraft and the tasks they perform: the hunter's fleet, the hunting bomber's fleet, the reconnaissance fleet, the transport fleet. In the past, when sailing ships were being used, they called the fleet of ship units that were smaller than the sailboat. Today, ships, vehicles and trade vehicles that a nation travels in the sea are all called trade fleets.

Filo, aynı hizmeti yapmaları için görevlendirilen ve bir kumanda altında bulunan gemi veya uçaklardan meydana gelen birliğin adı. Ticaret ve balıkçı gemilerinden meydana gelen birliklere de filo adı verilir. Hava Kuvvetlerinde uçakların cinsine ve yaptıkları görevlerine göre filolara isim verilir: Avcı filosu, av bombardıman filosu, keşif filosu, nakliye filosu gibi. Eskiden yelkenli gemilerin kullanıldığı zamanlarda, fırkateynden daha küçük gemilerden meydana gelen gemi birliklerine de filo denirdi. Bugün bir milletin denizlerde gezdirdiği gemiler, taşıtlar ve ticaret araçlarının hepsine birden ticaret filosu adı verilmektedir.
