Konglomerat is a trading organization. In the world, after 1960's, it started to have great significance. The characteristic of conglomerates is that organizations that trade in more than one and different business lines are generally grouped under a well-known trade name. This gathering takes place either as a new organization, or as an active or passive purchase. But although they are connected to each other in the monetary direction, they are all separate companies from the legal side. Misal: A Ltd. Under the conglomerate, A Otomotiv Ltd., A Turizm Ltd., A Denizcilik A.Ş., A Bank A.Ş. \u0026 Amp; B Insurance Group, etc. Through the combination, The conglomerate can trade on different business lines. Thus, the competition between the conglomerates is abolished. Another advantage is that when a trade sector is damaged, other organizations do not usually have the same problems. And the main conglomerate can, of course, reduce or cover this trade off in other sectors and organizations, within the framework of national trade laws.

Konglomerat bir ticaret kuruluş şeklidir. Dünyada 1960´lı yıllardan sonra büyük anlam taşımaya başlamıştır. Konglomeratın özelliği birden fazla ve farklı iş kollarında ticaret yapan kuruluşların genelde bir tanınmış ticari isim altında toplanmasıdır. Bu toplanma gerek yeni kuruluş olarak, ya da aktif veya pasif bir şekilde satın alınarak gerçekleşir. Ama her ne kadar parasal yönden birbirlerine bağlı olsalar da, hukuksal yönden hepsi ayrı birer şirkettirler. Misal: A Ltd. Konglomeratı altında, A Otomotiv Ltd., A Turizm Ltd., A Denizcilik A.Ş., A Banka A.Ş. & B Sigorta Grubu, vb kombinasyonlar sayesinde, ana A Ltd. Konglomeratı farklı iş sahalarında ticaret yapabilir. Böylelikle Konglomerat arası rekabet kaldırılmış olur. Diğer bir avantajı ise bir ticaret sektörü zarar gördüğü zaman diğer kuruluşlar genelde aynı sorunları yaşamaz. Ve ana konglomerat tabii ki ulusal ticaret kanunları çerçevesinde, bu zararı diğer sektörler ve kuruluşlar sayesinde azaltabilir veya kapatabilirler.
