The dowel is a wedge-shaped sailor vehicle that can be used as a temporary handle to open and tie the ropes at the end of the rope for sewing the rope. The dowel is conical and generally a curved rod, with one corner rounded or flattened. The length is usually 15-30 cm long, but sometimes it can be over 60 cm depending on the thickness of the rope used. It is made of metal or polished wood or bone. The dowel is also called kaşkaval. The chair can be a tool in its own right, or it can be one of the tools in a knife.
