Leninism is a political and economic theory based on Marxism. Marxism is regarded as a line and a stage, considered to have been developed by the Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin. According to the approach Lenin developed Marx's basic work in three basic points, namely philosophy, economics and political fields, and reproduced it as a teaching conforming to the new conditions and without deviating from its basic principles. In short, Leninism is understood as a re-adaptation of the theoretical, political and economic context to the basic principles according to the requirements of the Marxism. The greatest contribution of Leninism to the Marxist tradition is to defend the democratic centralist organization. The concept of Leninism is assessed on the basis of the need for the re-development of Marxism in the direction of new phenomena and new scientific developments and is understood as the development of Marxism in accordance with the revolutionary and scientific nature.

Leninizm, Marksizm üzerine kurulmuş politik ve ekonomik bir teoridir. Marksizm`in bir kolu ve aşaması olarak ele alınır, Bolşevik lider Vladimir Lenin tarafından geliştirildiği kabul edilir. Yaklaşıma göre Lenin, Marx'ın temel eserini üç temel noktada, yani felsefe, ekonomi ve siyasal alanlarda geliştirmiş, onu yeni koşullara uygun bir öğreti olarak ve temel ilkelerinden sapmaksızın yeniden üretmiştir. Kısacası Leninizm, Marksizmin çağın gereklerine göre hem kuramsal hem politik hem de ekonomik alanda, temel ilkelere bağlı kalarak yeniden uyarlanması olarak anlaşılır.Leninizm'in marksist geleneğe en büyük katkısı demokratik merkeziyetçi örgüt yapısını savunmasıdır. Leninizm kavramı, yeni olgular ve yeni bilimsel gelişmeler doğrultusunda Marksizmin yeniden geliştirilmesi gereği üzerinden değerlendirilir ve Marksizmin devrimci ve bilimsel özüne uygun olarak geliştirilmesi olarak anlaşılır.
