Lymphogranulomatosis, or Gojkina's disease, or malignant granuloma, is a malignant disease of the lymphoid tissue, the characteristic feature of which is the presence of giant Reed-Berezovsky-Sternberg cells that are detected by microscopic examination of affected lymph nodes. Malignant lesions of the lymphatic apparatus and hematopoietic organs constitute a significant group among human neoplasms. They are usually referred to as systemic diseases, because the tumor process involves not one organ, but the whole hematopoietic or lymphatic apparatus. These include lymphogranulomatosis and leukemia. Лімфогранулемато́з, або хворо́ба Го́джкіна, або злоя́кісна гранульо́ма, — злоякісне захворювання лімфоїдної тканини, характерною ознакою якого є наявність гігантських клітин Рид — Березовського — Штернберга, які виявляють при мікроскопічному дослідженні уражених лімфатичних вузлів. Злоякісні ураження лімфатичного апарату і кровотворних органів становлять значну групу серед новоутворень людини. Їх іменують зазвичай системними захворюваннями, тому що пухлинний процес захоплює не один орган, а весь кровотворний або лімфатичний апарат. До них відносять лімфогранулематоз і лейкози.
