Los peces de cuatro ojos son un género, Anableps, de peces de la familia Anablepidae. Tienen los ojos levantados por encima de la parte superior de la cabeza y divididos en dos partes diferentes, para que puedan ver por debajo y por encima de la superficie del agua al mismo tiempo. Al igual que sus parientes, los bebés vivos unilaterales, los peces de cuatro ojos sólo se aparean en un lado, los machos "entregados" con las hembras "entregadas" y viceversa. Estos peces habitan agua dulce y agua salobre y sólo rara vez son marinos costeros. Se originan de las tierras bajas en el sur de México a Honduras y al norte de América del Sur.
