Barógrafo
Un barógrafo es un barómetro aneroide de grabación. Un barógrafo se utiliza para controlar la presión. El puntero en un barómetro aneroide se sustituye por un bolígrafo. Produce una carta de papel o papel llamado un barograma que registra la presión barométrica con el tiempo. Los barógrafos utilizan una o más células aneroides que actúan a través de un engranaje o un tren de palanca para conducir un brazo de grabación que tiene en su extremo extremo un escriba o un bolígrafo. Un escribano registra en papel ahumado mientras una pluma registra en papel usando tinta, sostenida en un knib. El material de grabación está montado en un tambor cilíndrico que se hace girar lentamente por un mecanismo de reloj. Comúnmente, el tambor hace una revolución por día, por semana o por mes y la frecuencia de rotación puede ser seleccionada a menudo por el usuario. Puesto que la cantidad de movimiento que puede ser generada por un solo aneroide es minúsculo, hasta siete aneroids se apilan a menudo "en serie" para amplificar su movimiento. Fue inventado en 1844 por el francés Lucien Vidi.
