Los bolcheviques, al principio también bolcheviques o bolcheviques, eran una facción del marxista Partido Socialdemócrata ruso (en inglés Russo: большевики, большевик (singular)), IPA: derivado de bol'shinstvo, "mayoría" (RSDLP), que se separó de la facción menchevique en el Segundo Congreso del Partido en 1903. Los bolcheviques eran la facción mayoritaria en un voto crucial, de ahí su nombre. En última instancia se convirtió en el Partido Comunista de la Unión Soviética. Los bolcheviques llegaron al poder en Rusia durante la Revolución de Octubre de la Revolución Rusa de 1917 y fundaron la República Socialista Federativa Soviética de Rusia, que más tarde se convertiría en el principal constituyente de la Unión Soviética en 1922.
