Bennettitales es un orden extinto de plantas de semillas que aparecieron por primera vez en el período Triásico y que se extinguió en la mayoría de las áreas hacia el final del Cretácico, aunque algunos Bennettitales parecen haber sobrevivido hasta los tiempos del Oligoceno en Tasmania y Australia oriental. Algunos fueron caracterizados por los troncos gruesos y las hojas pinnately compuestas que tuvieron una semejanza superficial a las de cycads, diferenciando sobre todo en arreglo stomatal. El taxón comprende dos grupos, Cycadeoidaceae, representado por Cycadeoidea y Monanthesia que tenía troncos robustos y bisporangiate strobili, y el Williamsoniaceae incluyendo Williamsonia, Williamsoniella, Wielandella e Ischnophyton que tenía troncos delgados, ramificando y strobili bisporangiate o monosporangiate. Bennettitales se han colocado entre los anthophytes y durante algún tiempo se consideraron ser parientes cercanos de las plantas florecientes debido a su flor-como las estructuras reproductivas.
