Delegación
Delegación es la asignación de responsabilidad o autoridad a otra persona para llevar a cabo actividades específicas. Es uno de los conceptos centrales del liderazgo gerencial. Sin embargo, la persona que delegó el trabajo sigue siendo responsable del resultado del trabajo delegado. La delegación faculta a un subordinado para tomar decisiones, es decir, es un cambio de la autoridad de toma de decisiones de un nivel de organización a uno inferior. Delegación, si se hace correctamente, no es abdicación. Lo contrario de la delegación efectiva es la microgestión, donde un gerente proporciona demasiada información, dirección y revisión del trabajo delegado. En general, la delegación es buena y puede ahorrar dinero y tiempo, ayudar en la construcción de habilidades y motivar a la gente. Una delegación pobre, por otra parte, podría causar frustración y confusión a todas las partes involucradas. Sin embargo, algunos agentes no están a favor de una delegación y consideran que el poder de tomar una decisión es bastante oneroso. Delegación en la red de TI es también un campo en evolución.
