Donatism era una secta cristiana dentro de la provincia romana de África que floreció en los siglos cuarto y quinto entre cristianos bereros. El donatismo tenía sus raíces en las presiones sociales de la comunidad cristiana de larga data del norte de África romano, durante las persecuciones de los cristianos bajo Diocleciano.
