King
Edward II: His Life, His Reign, and Its Aftermath, ...
Edward of Caernarfon is best known today for his disastrous military defeat in 1314 at Bannockburn, where his English army was defeated by a vastly inferior Scottish force led by Robert the Bruce, leading to Scottish Independence.
This biography of Edward II does not present him as a heroic or successful king - his deposition after a turbulent reign of nearly 20 years is proof that it went terribly wrong.
Queer Edward II is a poetic commentary on the making of this luscious film--a lavish book that leaves no holds barred and brings the film to life with luminous stills from the set.
