Elastómero
Un elastómero es un polímero con viscoelasticidad y fuerzas intermoleculares muy débiles, generalmente con un módulo de Young bajo y una alta tensión de falla en comparación con otros materiales. El término, que se deriva del polímero elástico, se usa a menudo indistintamente con el término caucho, aunque este último es el preferido cuando se hace referencia a vulcanizados.
