Electrómetro
Un electrómetro es un instrumento eléctrico para medir la carga eléctrica o la diferencia de potencial eléctrico. Hay muchos tipos diferentes, que van desde los instrumentos mecánicos históricos hechos a mano hasta los dispositivos electrónicos de alta precisión. Electrometros modernos basados en el tubo de vacío o la tecnología de estado sólido se puede utilizar para hacer mediciones de voltaje y carga con corrientes de fuga muy baja, hasta 1 femtoampere. Un instrumento más sencillo pero relacionado, el electroscopio, trabaja sobre principios similares, pero sólo indica las magnitudes relativas de voltajes o cargas.
