Leonhard Euler
Leonhard Euler (/ ɔɪlər / OY-lər; pronunciación alemana: (escuchar), pronunciación local: (escuchar), 15 de abril de 1707 - 18 de septiembre de 1783) fue un pionero matemático y físico suizo. Hizo descubrimientos importantes en campos tan diversos como el cálculo infinitesimal y la teoría gráfica. También introdujo gran parte de la terminología matemática moderna y la notación, en particular para el análisis matemático, como la noción de una función matemática. También es famoso por su trabajo en mecánica, dinámica de fluidos, óptica, astronomía y teoría musical.
