Valor de exposición
En fotografía, el valor de exposición es un número que representa una combinación de la velocidad de obturación y el número f de la cámara, de modo que todas las combinaciones que producen la misma exposición tienen el mismo valor EV. El valor de exposición también se utiliza para indicar un intervalo en la escala de exposición fotográfica, con 1 EV correspondiente a un paso de exposición estándar de potencia de 2, comúnmente denominado paro. El concepto de EV se desarrolló en un intento de simplificar la elección entre combinaciones de ajustes de cámara equivalentes, por el fabricante alemán de obturadores Friedrich Deckel en la década de 1950. El valor de exposición se indicó originalmente por el símbolo de cantidad; Este símbolo sigue siendo utilizado en las normas ISO, pero el acrónimo EV es más común en otros lugares. Aunque todos los ajustes de la cámara con el mismo EV nominalmente dan la misma exposición, no necesariamente dan la misma imagen. El número f determina la profundidad de campo y la velocidad de obturación determina la cantidad de desenfoque de movimiento, como se ilustra en las dos imágenes de la derecha.
