El Beneficio de Vivienda es un beneficio de seguridad social probado en el Reino Unido que tiene como objetivo ayudar a cubrir los costos de vivienda para el alojamiento alquilado. Es el costo más grande para el contribuyente, que suma £ 23.8 billones en 2013-14 - casi el 30% de la factura de bienestar completo. La legislación primaria que rige el Beneficio de Vivienda es la Ley de Contribuciones y Beneficios de la Seguridad Social de 1992. Operativamente, los Reglamentos que rigen son instrumentos estatutarios derivados de esa Ley. Se rige por uno de dos conjuntos de regulaciones. Para los solicitantes en edad de trabajar se rige por el "Reglamento de Beneficios de Vivienda 2006", pero para aquellos que han alcanzado la edad de calificación para el Crédito de Pensión se rige por el "Reglamento de Beneficios de Vivienda 2006". Normalmente es administrado por la autoridad local en cuyo área se encuentra la propiedad que se alquila. En algunas circunstancias, normalmente los inquilinos del condado en "fuera de las propiedades de la ciudad", algunos reclamantes pueden ser requeridos para obtener el Beneficio de Vivienda del condado que los colocó. Para aquellas áreas donde hay dos o más estructura de gobierno local de nivel, el Beneficio de Vivienda es administrado por el distrito o la capa del consejo de distrito del gobierno local.
