El rasgo de la extroversión-introversión es una dimensión central de las teorías de la personalidad humana. Los términos introversión y extraversión fueron primero popularizados por Carl Jung, aunque tanto el entendimiento popular como la edad psicológica difieren de su intención original. La extraversión tiende a manifestarse en el comportamiento extrovertido, hablador, enérgico, mientras que la introversión se manifiesta en un comportamiento más reservado y solitario. Prácticamente todos los modelos comprensivos de la personalidad incluyen estos conceptos en varias formas. Introverts prefer introversion; we tend to gain energy by reflecting and expend energy when interacting. Extroverts have the opposite preference; they tend to gain energy by interacting and expend energy while reflecting.
