En la historia política británica, una elección caqui es cualquier elección nacional que está fuertemente influenciada por el tiempo de guerra o el sentimiento de posguerra. En las elecciones generales británicas de 1900, el gobierno del Partido Conservador de Lord Salisbury fue devuelto a la oficina con una mayor mayoría sobre el Partido Liberal.
