Quinasa
En bioquímica, una quinasa es un tipo de enzima que transfiere grupos fosfato de moléculas donadoras de alta energía, tales como ATP, a sustratos específicos, un proceso conocido como fosforilación. Las quinasas son parte de la familia más grande de fosfotransferasas. Las quinasas no deben confundirse con fosforilas, que catalizan la adición de grupos fosfato inorgánicos a un aceptor, o con fosfatasas, que eliminan los grupos fosfato. El estado de fosforilación de una molécula, ya sea una proteína, lípido o carbohidrato, puede afectar su actividad, reactividad y su capacidad para unirse a otras moléculas.
