Morfometría
Morfometría o morfometría se refiere al análisis cuantitativo de la forma, un concepto que abarca el tamaño y la forma. Los análisis morfométricos se realizan comúnmente en organismos y son útiles para analizar su registro fósil, el impacto de las mutaciones en la forma, los cambios de forma en el desarrollo, las covarianzas entre los factores ecológicos y la forma, así como para estimar los parámetros cuantitativos y genéticos de la forma. La "morfometría", en el sentido más amplio del término, también se utiliza para localizar con precisión ciertas áreas de órganos como el cerebro, y se utiliza para describir las formas de otras cosas.
