Nebulosa
Una nebulosa es una nube interestelar de polvo, hidrógeno, helio y otros gases ionizados. Originalmente, la nebulosa era un nombre para cualquier objeto astronómico difuso, incluyendo galaxias más allá de la Vía Láctea. La galaxia de Andrómeda, por ejemplo, se denominó Nebulosa de Andrómeda antes de que la verdadera naturaleza de las galaxias fuera confirmada a principios del siglo XX por Vesto Slipher, Edwin Hubble y otros.
