Ojibwe
Los Ojibwe, Anishinaabe o Chippewa son uno de los grupos más grandes de nativos americanos y de pueblos de las primeras naciones en el continente norteamericano. Hay comunidades Ojibwe tanto en Canadá como en los Estados Unidos. En Canadá, son la segunda población más grande entre las Primeras Naciones, superada sólo por los Crises. En los Estados Unidos, tienen la cuarta población más grande entre tribus nativas americanas, superada solamente por el Navajo, Cherokee y Lakota. Debido a que muchos Ojibwe fueron antiguamente ubicados alrededor de la salida del Lago Superior, que los colonos franceses llamaron Sault Ste. Marie, los primeros pobladores se refirieron a los Ojibwe como Saulteurs. Ojibwe que posteriormente se trasladó a las provincias de la pradera de Canadá han conservado el nombre Saulteaux. Ojibwe que fueron situados originalmente a lo largo del río de Mississagi y hecho su manera al sur Ontario se conocen como los Mississaugas. Los pueblos de Ojibwe son un grupo componente importante de los pueblos anishinaabe-que hablan, una rama de la familia de la lengua de Algonquian, que incluye el Algonquin, el Nipissing, el Oji-Cree, el Odawa y el Potawatomi.
