Una importación paralela es un producto no falsificado importado de otro país sin el permiso del propietario de la propiedad intelectual. Las importaciones paralelas a menudo se denominan productos grises y están implicadas en cuestiones de comercio internacional y propiedad intelectual. La importación paralela se basa en el concepto de agotamiento de los derechos de propiedad intelectual: según este concepto, cuando el producto se lanza por primera vez en el mercado en una jurisdicción particular, la importación paralela está autorizada a todos los residentes del estado en cuestión.
