Zoroastrianism / ˌzɒroʊæstriənɪzəm /, también llamado Zarathustraism, Mazdaism y Magianism, es una antigua religión iraní y una filosofía religiosa. Era una vez la religión de estado de los imperios Achaemenid, Parthian, y de Sasanian. Las estimaciones del número actual de zoroastrianos en todo el mundo varían entre 145.000 y 2.6 millones. El zoroastrismo surgió en la región oriental del antiguo Imperio Persa, cuando el filósofo religioso Zoroastro simplificó el panteón de los primeros dioses iraníes en dos fuerzas opuestas: Spenta Mainyu y Angra Mainyu bajo el único Dios, Ahura Mazda.
