Polybius
Polybius era un historiador griego del período helenístico conocido para su trabajo, las historias, que cubrieron el período de 264-146 AC en el detalle. La oposición de su padre al control romano de Macedonia resultó en su encarcelamiento. Polibio fue luego deportado a Roma, donde Lucius Emilio Paulus lo empleó para enseñar a sus dos hijos.
