La psicometría es el campo de estudio relacionado con la teoría y la técnica de la medición psicológica. Una parte del campo se refiere a la medición objetiva de habilidades y conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes, rasgos de personalidad y logros educativos. Todos los psicométricos poseen una calificación psicométrica específica, y mientras que la mayoría son psicólogos con formación avanzada de postgrado en pruebas psicométricas. Muchos trabajan en departamentos de recursos humanos. Otros se especializan como profesionales de aprendizaje y desarrollo.
