La Autoridad de Servicios Financieros fue un órgano cuasi judicial encargado de la regulación de la industria de servicios financieros en el Reino Unido entre 2001 y 2013. Su consejo de administración fue nombrado por el Tesoro, aunque operaba independientemente del gobierno. Fue estructurado como una compañía limitada por la garantía y fue financiado enteramente por los honorarios cargados a la industria de servicios financieros. Debido a la percepción de fracaso regulatorio de los bancos durante la crisis financiera de 2007-2008, el gobierno del Reino Unido decidió reestructurar la regulación financiera y abolir la FSA. El 19 de diciembre de 2012, la Ley de Servicios Financieros 2012 recibió el asentimiento real, la abolición de la FSA con efecto a partir del 1 de abril de 2013. Sus responsabilidades fueron divididas entre dos nuevas agencias y el Banco de Inglaterra. Hasta su abolición, Lord Turner de Ecchinswell era el Presidente de la FSA y Hector Sants era CEO hasta finales de junio de 2012, habiendo anunciado su dimisión el 16 de marzo de 2012. Su oficina principal estaba en Canary Wharf, Londres, con otra oficina en Edimburgo.
