La titulización es la práctica financiera de combinar diversos tipos de deuda contractual, tales como hipotecas residenciales, hipotecas comerciales, préstamos para automóviles o obligaciones de tarjetas de crédito y vender dicha deuda consolidada como bonos, títulos pasivos o obligaciones hipotecarias garantizadas a varios inversionistas.
