Semiótica
La semiótica es el estudio de la creación de significados. Esto incluye el estudio de signos y procesos de signos, indicación, designación, semejanza, analogía, metáfora, simbolismo, significación y comunicación. Sin embargo, algunos semióticos se centran en las dimensiones lógicas de la ciencia. Examinan áreas pertenecientes también a las ciencias de la vida, como la forma en que los organismos predicen y se adaptan a su nicho semiótico en el mundo.
