Amida de sodio
La amida sódica, comúnmente llamada sodamida, es el compuesto químico con la fórmula NaNH2. Este sólido, que es peligrosamente reactivo frente al agua, es blanco cuando está puro, pero las muestras comerciales son típicamente grises debido a la presencia de pequeñas cantidades de hierro metálico del proceso de fabricación. Tales impurezas no suelen afectar a la utilidad del reactivo. NaNH2 conduce la electricidad en el estado fusionado, siendo su conductancia similar a la del NaOH en un estado similar. NaNH2 ha sido ampliamente utilizado como una base fuerte en la síntesis orgánica.
