Stanovoy Range
La gama de Stanovoy, o gama de Khingan exterior es una cordillera situada en partes del sudeste del Extremo Oriente ruso. Se extiende de suroeste a noreste durante más de 900 km, desde el río Olyokma en el oeste, hasta el río Uchur en el este. Casi al mar de Okhotsk. Separa la cuenca del Océano Ártico de la del Océano Pacífico. Por esta razón, fue la frontera entre Rusia y China de 1689 a 1858. Tiene unos 725 km de largo. Su punto más alto es el monte Skalisty a 2.482 metros. La gama tiene muchos glaciares, que son la fuente principal del río de Lena. La Cordillera Yablonovy puede considerarse una extensión al suroeste del Stavonoy. Antes del siglo 20, Stanavoy también podía referirse a una franja algo mítica a lo largo de la costa oeste del mar de Okhotsk.
