La fecha de valor en finanzas es la fecha en que se determina el valor de un activo que fluctúa en el precio. En la contabilidad, la fecha de valor es la fecha en que la entrada a una cuenta se considera efectiva. En la banca, la fecha de valor es la fecha de entrega de los fondos negociados. Para las transacciones al contado es la fecha futura en que se negocia el comercio. En el caso de un intercambio de divisas al contado normalmente es dos días después de que se acuerde una transacción.
