Un clon virtual humano o digital es la creación o recreación de un ser humano en imagen y voz utilizando imágenes generadas por ordenador y sonido, que a menudo es indistinguible del actor real. Esta idea fue retratada por primera vez en la película de 1981 Looker, en la que los modelos tenían sus cuerpos digitalizados digitalmente para crear imágenes generadas por ordenador en 3D de los modelos, y luego animar dichas imágenes para su uso en comerciales de televisión.
