QUÉ SIGNIFICA WORLD LANGUAGE EN INGLÉS
Lenguaje mundial
Una lengua del mundo es una lengua hablada internacionalmente y que es aprendida por mucha gente como segunda lengua. Un idioma mundial no sólo se caracteriza por el número de oradores, sino también por su distribución geográfica, las organizaciones internacionales y las relaciones diplomáticas. A este respecto, las principales lenguas del mundo están dominadas por lenguas de origen europeo. La razón histórica de esto es el período del expansionista imperialismo y colonialismo europeo. El idioma más utilizado en el mundo es el inglés, que cuenta con más de 1.800 millones de usuarios en todo el mundo. El francés es el idioma tradicional de la diplomacia y sigue siendo uno de los idiomas de trabajo de muchas organizaciones internacionales. La prominencia internacional del árabe tiene su razón histórica en las conquistas islámicas medievales y la posterior arabización de Oriente Medio y África del Norte y también existe como un lenguaje litúrgico entre las comunidades musulmanas fuera del mundo árabe.
