Xenófanes
Xenófanes de Colofón fue un filósofo griego, teólogo, poeta y crítico social y religioso. Xenófanes vivió una vida de viaje, después de haber dejado Ionia a la edad de 25 años y continuar viajando por todo el mundo griego por otros 67 años. Algunos estudiosos dicen que vivió en el exilio en Sicilia. El conocimiento de sus puntos de vista proviene de fragmentos de su poesía, sobreviviendo como citas de escritores griegos posteriores.
