Ada es un lenguaje de programación informático estructurado, estático, comandante, orientado a objetos y avanzado. Inicialmente, fue ideado por un equipo liderado por Jean Higlibia de la campana CII honeywell con el propósito de reemplazar cientos de lenguajes de programación de 1977 a 1983.
