Imán
El imán es un tipo de metal que también se conoce como hierro valiente. El imán tiene un campo magnético y puede atraer otros detalles de hierro hacia él. La palabra imán proviene del griego "magnítis líthos" que significa "piedra de magnesia". Esto se debe a que el imán se descubrió por primera vez en una pequeña región asiática llamada Magnesia. Una de las características únicas de este imán es que cuando el imán está suspendido, la dirección que muestra es de norte a sur. Además del imán original, también hay imanes fabricados por humanos. El imán original es el imán permanente, mientras que el imán fabricado por el hombre es permanente y algunos son temporales. La mayoría de los imanes usados hoy en día están hechos por humanos. Cada imán tiene un "polo sur" y un "polo norte". Cuando un extremo del imán es abordado por otra punta magnética, ambos extremos se unirán unos a otros si los extremos magnéticos tienen diferentes polos. Por otro lado, sucederá si ambos extremos tienen el mismo polo.
