Anubis: en la mitología egipcia, un dios con cabeza de chacal, estrechamente relacionado con la momificación y el más allá. En el lenguaje del Antiguo Egipto, era conocido como Inpw. La mención más antigua conocida proviene de los textos de las pirámides del Reino Antiguo, donde está asociado con el funeral del Faraón.
