La Septuaginta - la primera traducción del Antiguo Testamento del hebreo y arameo al griego. El nombre proviene del número de traductores que participaron en el trabajo de traducción. Esta traducción fue hecha entre 280 y 130 aC en Alejandría, y es el trabajo de muchos traductores. Desde el momento de esta traducción hasta la edad de IV, a partir de la cual se originaron las copias más antiguas y casi completas de la Septuaginta, su texto ha recorrido un largo camino a través de copias posteriores, versiones, revisiones, correcciones, adiciones e intentos de unificar el contenido.

Septuaginta – pierwsze tłumaczenie Starego Testamentu z hebrajskiego i aramejskiego na grekę. Nazwa pochodzi od liczby tłumaczy, którzy mieli brać udział w pracach nad przekładem. Przekład ten powstał pomiędzy 280 a 130 rokiem p.n.e. w Aleksandrii, a jest dziełem wielu tłumaczy. Od czasu powstania tego tłumaczenia aż do wieku IV n.e., z którego pochodzą najstarsze prawie pełne odpisy Septuaginty, jej tekst przeszedł długą drogę kolejnych kopii, wersji, dokonanych recenzji, korekt, uzupełnień oraz prób ujednolicenia treści.
